Health Forum NZ is the home for constructive conversations about the NZ health system.
Health Forum NZ is designed to facilitate both complex private discussions within health professions as well as rich national multidisciplinary collaboration, without many of the drawbacks of email or commercial social networks.
All New Zealand health professionals are welcome to join - doctors, nurses, allied health & technical, and those in non-regulated professional roles.
Health Forum NZ was developed and is maintained by a small team of volunteer clinical informaticians and their IT professional friends.
Health Forum NZ is built on an adaptable open source discussion platform (Discourse) securely hosted in New Zealand, carries no advertising, and is well suited to the complexity of managing in-depth conversations involving large numbers of New Zealand’s health professionals.
Health Forum NZ was featured in New Zealand Doctor shortly after establishment as a COVID-19 response forum in March 2020.
